What To Do In Cape Town!

If you are still looking for your next holiday destination, here is some information of what you will be able to experience in Cape Town and why you should choose Cape Town, South Africa, as your next vacation.

Cape Town has a huge variety of attractions – there is something for everyone. For nature lovers, Table Mountain and Cape Point is a must go attraction! Here you will be able to witness the magnificent scenery of Cape Town along with its flora and fauna. It is simply breath-taking. The World of Birds in Hout Bay is a zoo where you can walk through the various bird cages so you will be in close contact to the various birds that are living at the World of Birds. At Boulders beach you are also able to swim with penguins which call the False Bay area their home.

Other beaches are also popular in the Cape Town region. The most popular beach must be Clifton 4th. It is sheltered by a rock formation allowing you to tan and relax in a calm environment without the strong Cape Town wind. The ocean of the Atlantic Ocean is however very cold and the currents are extremely strong. Camps Bay and Bloubergstrand are another of the major beaches in Cape Town. At each beach you will find a variety of different Cape Town restaurants so you can always find a snack or small meal when you get hungry. There are also many Cape Town bars near the beaches where you can have “a cold one” and enjoy the evening as the sun sets behind the Atlantic Ocean.

Long Street and the V&A Waterfront are popular entertainment hotspots as well. Long Street offers many bars, cafes and boutiques that are every shopper’s dream. Everyone will find their favourite fashion style here. The street is always very vibrant, lots of cars and taxis with shops and fast food outlets on either side. The V&A Waterfront is more pedestrian friendly as no cars are allowed in the shopping area. It is also one of the main tourist hotspots as many hotels and tourism services are located here.

When driving to the northern suburbs of Cape Town, you will be greeted by the Cape Town wine region. These area spans over several towns including Durbanville, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Somerset West. All of the vineyards in these locations offer fantastic views of the Cape Town region and the mountain ranges. In addition, wine tasting should be done by everyone coming to Cape Town as South African wine is one of the best in the world. Most vineyards also have adjoining restaurants where you can enjoy a nice hot meal.

Hopefully, this has convinced you to pay Cape Town a visit and choose it as your next holiday destination. Happy Holidays!
