Memorial day is one of the biggest boating holidays of the year and the bay county marine law enforcement alliance has been busy. They say the one of the biggest problems is many boaters don’t have the required safety equipment.

Next to the fourth of July, so far 2010 has been a deadly year on Florida waterways. From January 1st through May 15th, 26-people have died in vessel accidents,24-were killed in single vessel incidents.
